Our Brule Hoodies are made from Polartec® Alpha Direct® fleece. This ultra-lightweight material offers exceptional loft and insulation (but does not cut wind). Used on its own it makes a great active layer, and when worn under a shell it provides excellent base-layer loft. We have three different weights of Alpha Direct® fleece (60, 90 and 120 grams per square meter) which covers the spectrum of weight and warmth. The 60 and 90 gsm material tends to shrink some with use, so you may consider sizing up. Please see the final photo in the gallery for examples of the hood types.
